About us.

The Emma Dale Story:

Our Heritage: From the Acre to the Bench
My design education didn't begin in a classroom; it began in the quiet, industrious shadows of my father’s and grandfather’s workshops. Growing up on a Yorkshire farm, I learned early on that true skill takes time to master. I watched as raw materials were transformed through patience and intent - lessons in longevity that stayed with me as I moved from the rural landscape to the design studio.
The Modern Maker: Where Tradition Meets Tech
Today, I live at the intersection of heritage and innovation. As a Design & Technology educator, I am as much at home with CAD, 3D printers, and laser cutters as I am with a traditional jeweller's saw. My work is a dialogue between the "mechanical" and the "modern." I take the hard, structural lines of architectural geometry and soften them into wearable forms. I am happiest in a workshop, bridging the gap between the workshop wisdom of my ancestors and the surgical precision of 21st-century tools.
Our Material Philosophy: Technical Circularity
At Emma Dale, we don’t believe in "waste." We see every fragment as a design opportunity. Our studio operates on a zero-loss philosophy, ensuring that high-grade materials stay in a constant loop of creation.
I. 100% Recycled Eco Silver: A Traceable History
We work exclusively with Eco Silver, a 100% recycled silver that is fully audited and traceable. This metal isn't mined from the earth; it is reclaimed and refined from the jewellery, giftware, medical, and electronics industries. By repurposing silver from high-tech circuit boards and vintage heirlooms, we maintain the highest quality with a significantly lower environmental footprint.
II. Infinite Copper: The Living Metal
Copper is a sustainable powerhouse. It is one of the few materials on earth that is infinitely recyclable without ever losing its quality. We value it for its warmth and its "living" nature; over time, copper develops a unique patina that reacts to the wearer, making every piece a timeless record of your own journey.
III. Rescued Acrylic: Architectural Fragments
Our acrylic collections are born from curated remnants. We rescue high-grade industrial acrylic -technical offcuts often discarded from larger architectural projects - and transform them through laser-precision and hand-polishing. We turn workshop fragments into elegant, wearable modern art.
